Introductions

Hello blogging world! 


Just thought we would do a quick entry for general introduction purposes. I believe if you know where someone comes from you can get a better idea of why they are where they are and where they might be going. So here is a quick intro on me. I am SHE of the title. Christy of the Matt N Christy. I'm 34 years old and as our profile mentions, I come from many different places. I like to think that my wanderings influenced my point of view. I don't think its possible to be in so many different climates of people without picking up a little something here and there. 


And although I was born and partly raised in Arkansas, I don't typically view myself as a southerner. I appreciate the south. I appreciate the hospitality. Its not just a joke here but a reality and I appreciate the tea. However, most of my high school formidable years were spent in South Florida which is one of the biggest salad bowls of our country. Yankees (snowbirds), Haitians, a touch of the south in places such as "The Acreage". 


My basic philosophy has always been to be open to every type of person and experience. That is actually changing a bit as I grow older and determine to pick and choose those things that are best for me. Overall, though, I think everyone has a right to pursue happiness and fulfillment. I believe we are all mostly in control of our own destinies and the choices we make determine the people we become. I have a slight existential bend to my general philosophy but its tempered by a faith in God and good people. 


I love all music and though people can really bug me sometimes, I am definitely pulling for humanity. And I think that is a good enough start for now.

How Ya'll Are? I'm Matt from Matt N Christy. I am 38 years old and was born and raised in NC. A true southern gentleman, as it were. I believe that you have free will and the choices you make, whether right or wrong, make you who you are. Now, don't get right and wrong twisted. My right and wrong may differ from yours, and that's all because of free will. My versions of right and wrong are based on The Holy Bible and my Christian point of view. I am not here to preach at you and tell you that you are going to Hell, I'm just expressing my opinions. There will most likely be some cuss words here, so if you are offended I don't wanna hear about it, you have been warned.


I was raised in the foothills of the NC mountains and I love sweet tea and coffee. I am a chef at my very core. I am into all kinds of music, but mostly love the blues. I have respect for everyone until I am disrespected. I have the utmost respect for women folk. Being raised by a single mother with 2 younger siblings gives me a different view than most people would expect. 


What can you expect from this blog? We will pick a topic and then give you our views on that topic. We may agree on some and will definitely disagree on most. At some point we may even let you pick our topics. You may not always like what one or both of us have to say and please feel free to comment with your own views. But, please remember respect is a key issue. If you disrespect on here you will feel my wrath.
